ABOVE: Where the earth ends... Below, Horseshoe Lake can be seen, and above and to the left of the lake is Disappointment Lake. Beyond, is the green forests of the Fleming Creek drainage.
Red Mountian Basin
The unobstructed views of nearly all of this region and into Kings Canyon National Park are overwhelming. You can see the entrance to Evolution Valley and the Glacier Divide to the North, Mt. Goddard and all of the surrounding major peaks, the entire Red Mountain Basin and Bench Valley region, as far as the Dinky Lake Wilderness with the Three Sisters, and the Silver Divide.
